Casemore Gallery is pleased to present You, the Performer. This group exhibition brings together contemporary artists Sophronia Cook, Jim Goldberg, Todd Hido, Whitney Hubbs, Jim Jocoy, Steve Kahn, Rachelle Anayansi Mozman Solano, and Larry Sultan, whose works explore all aspects and elements relating to the theatrical impulse embedded in both the act of image-making and the scenes staged and documented within the frame. Drawing upon the aesthetics of performance, illusion, and mise-en-scène, these artists blur the lines between documentary and fantasy, observer and participant, fiction and reality.
