Free Workshop alert!
Resist dyeing is a centuries‑old textile technique in which certain areas of fabric are deliberately shielded from dye, resulting in striking light‑on‑dark patterns. The term “resist” refers to any means—such as wax, starch paste, mud, tying, folding, stitching or clamping—that prevents dye from penetrating specific parts of the material. Join us for this free, hands-on workshop which is geared for all ages. Materials will be provided, but if you have a piece of fabric you would like to dye, bring it by!
Saturday, August 16, 2 - 4pm
All ages welcome.
